Prayer is communicating with God. Without prayer there is no relationship with God. We have 2 Church prayer meetings per week: Sundays 08:15-09:00. Tuesdays 18:00-19:00.
We have a morning service every Sunday of the year at 09:00 and evening services during the school term at 17:00. We also have 2 special services on Good Friday and Christmas Day at 08:00.
We have various Bible Study Groups that meet during the week, in different homes, led by members of the congregation.
Our Care Ministry does just that, cares! From arranging meals for those who are ill, to sending flowers to those in hospital, to sending you a birthday card, also providing for those in need.
Our Youth is spearheaded by the one and only Daryl Davie. All our Youth activities go under the name of Speiro, meaning “I sow” in Greek. We want to sow the seeds of the gospel into the lives of our young people. On Friday nights we have Junior Speiro at 17:00 and Senior Speiro at 19:30. We also have Sunday School for the littlest to the teens on a Sunday during the morning services, as well as JAM in the evening for Grade R-4. Daryl also ministers at 4 schools in the area.
We want to be an Acts 1:8 Church. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” So, we want to be involved in the spread of the gospel from Ladysmith to the ends of the earth. This means being Christ’s witness locally to supporting foreign missions globally. We have a Missions Committee that administers our Missions giving, a fair portion of our Church finances. As God provides, and as we trust in His leading, we support Missionaries and Mission Organisations across the world.
We have a Music Ministry that facilitates our worship of God in song. We like to cater for all generations in our choice of music. There is always a need for more musicians, vocalists, & people to operate the Computer and Sound.
Our Women’s Ministry is called Sonflower Ministries. The ladies meet every few weeks for fellowship and teaching.
Our Men’s Ministry meets on a monthly basis for fellowship and teaching. We also tackle the occasional hands-on project around the Church Property.
We take a “Servant Leadership” approach to any leadership in the Church. We are serving our Saviour, Jesus, and serving His Church. Each ministry needs leaders. Our Church Leadership or Diaconate sees to the day-to-day runnings of the Church.
We stock good new Christian books that can supplement your studying of the Bible. We also have a small lending Library of second hand good Christian books.
Something is always in need of repair. If working with your hands is your gift, we would love for you to help us in this ministry.
